‘An investigation into smartphone applications has revealed that most the Apps are designed to spy on people, transmitting personal data of device owners to different companies.
According to The Wall Street Journal’s investigation, 56 of the 101 widely used Apps — including software and games for iPhone and Android phones — transferred the personal details of their users to advertising companies without the consent of users. Various companies benefit from the personal information in different ways, ranging from finding the users address to their interests and software they use the most.
Forty-seven of these applications transmitted the location of the phone, whereas age, gender and other personal information were sent by five of the Apps. The unique ID number assigned to each phone by the manufacturers was the most widely shared detail.’
‘In a direct threat against Iran, US Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Admiral Mike Mullen says Washington is “very ready” to launch an attack on Tehran. “There are real threats to peace and stability here, and we’ve made no secrets of our concerns about Iran,” Mullen said on Saturday.
“From my perspective I see Iran continuing on this path to develop nuclear weapons, and I believe that that development and achieving that goal would be very destabilizing to the region,” Mullen said.
Amid a standoff over Iran’s nuclear program, both Tel Aviv and Washington have repeatedly threatened Tehran with the “option” of a military strike, based on the allegation that Iran’s nuclear work may consist of a covert military agenda — an allegation Iran has repeatedly denied.’

Four Multi-role Frigates and two air defense destroyers from Canada will meet up with an undisclosed contingent of Royal Navy and Royal Australian Navy vessels for what is assumed to be preparations for action on the Korean Peninsula. The UK, Canada and Australia have some 90 Fast-Attack aircraft that can be deployed with 24 hours to the Korean Theater. The Canadian and Australian Airforces operate the F18s while the UK deploys the Tornado.
